Rear door has been playing up for a while.
Now it won't open from the outside.
After removing the trim and lubricating everything it still doesn't work. What i can't understand is how when you pull the rear handle to open the door what mechanism pushes down onto the rod mechanism to open it up.
The part that moves when you pull the handle doesn't come into contact with anything. This is the liitle metal finger attached to the spring.
The door opens fine with the interior handle.

All working,after a deal of lubrication,WD40, 3 in 1 oil and finally ACF 50.

Till the next time!(y)

Spooky or what?

Getting Mrs_G's Doblo ready to sell and it has the same problem (twin doors, will only open from inside). Will be following the advise above.

Cheers Chaps, will report back.

All done!

The tiny little metal clip that hold the inner handle on to the shaft had me going for a little while though. Pushed it up from below using a thin flat screwdriver then was able to slide the handle off the shaft.

Removed the inner handle mechanism (2 hex socket bolts) and could then see how its meant to work. WD40 freed it all up followed by some general oil.

Thanks for the advise T.

The main door wont latch on with the bottom catch it just doesn't work anymore.
I have had it checked electrically - dead.
Does anyone out there have a good second hand one, including the wiring and "spoke" connector to the upper door mechanism.

Failing that does anyone know the part number and cost of a new one.
51 plate 1.9D SX.

It's the bottom catch on the n/s door.
I didn't have any success getting a second hand one but my local Fiat dealer should have one for tomorrow. In the Region of £40.
