I've never experienced this, but I do spray WD40 on the runners occasionally.

Probably a silicone spray would be better though.

I agree with the silicon lube. For areas where you're not going to go near (clothes wise) I'd suggest using lashings of copper grease.

Teflon spray is even better....!!

got it sorted it turned out to be the rear seat catch was dry & needed a wd40 spray cheers anyway :bang::bang::bang::yuck:

WD 40 is a Water Dispersant (WD) with limited lube characteristics.
Better use a real lube like (any brand) Teflon spray/oil....
Silicon spray may be tricky, as some will harm certain plastics and rubber, so be careful using that.
