were is the oil filter on the 2007 doblo cargo van,ive been told by the parts dept there are 2 differant oil filters for the van and they only know by site not the chassis or reg number so i need to remove

and pay £140 for an oil and filter change, who are the idiots, not me

is it right that it can be done at any garage thats vat registered,my local garage has quoted £60 ,fiat seem to be very expensive.
is it a cannister or paper filter on the doblo.

cheers all

the parts dept cant say which filter i need untill i remove the old one seems crazy to me

Warranty:

To give the slippery b@ast@rds one less reason to refuse any future claim, I suggest you insist the garage use genuine fiat parts.

yes its just near the radiator but cant figure out how to remove it

Just done by first oil and filter change on the doblo :)
Bit of a daunting task at first, but made easier with a decent socket set.I removed the big black hose before starting to give me more space.
The oil filter is in the front of the car by the radiator, covered by a black metal guard. It comes off easily with an extension on the socket set, 1 small nut and 2 star ones. Then put a 27mm socket on the plastic filter and unscrew. All in all it took about 10 mins. I've left the guard off as it does'nt seem to do much.
As for the drain sump plug under the car, I cheated. There is a big black undershield which should be taken off. Instead I located roughly where the drainplug was and i cut a 3 inch hole in the shield using a holesaw...worked perfectly and will make oil changes easier in the future
