following on from me old thread, here is Chii.

Project aims.

UT Front brakes (240mm Vented)
GT Rear brakes (240mm solid)
new rear arms, powerflex bushes
new front arms and bushes
re-locate battery
MPI fuel system
new ECU
wideband lambda

Progress so far.

Front brakes, complete. Just need to send the calipers off to refurb them, and then refit them.

Rear brakes. Custom stainless flexys installed, custom caliper mounts ready to be fitted.

Rear arms. Powerflex bushes installed, cross member painted up, new rear hubs to be fitted.

Battery. Battery tray installed in boot, cables re-routed. Job done.

MPI fuel system. New manifold fitted, modified to clear bulkhead. Fuel pressure regulator added, OEM regualtor bypassed.

New ECU. Loom pulled to bits, and wired into MS relay board. Missing injector wiring.

Wideband lambda - controller mounted, can't do much else.

This is what it looks like atm!

it was meant to be finished last week..but i went away for the weekend instead of working on it. then this weekend i'm away at a rally..and then i'm working right through with no days off.. so it's finding time to work on it, don't really feel up to it after doing a 9-9!

gaz, actually - the fuel lines are new since then too, they're actually connected up properly :D

Fair enough fella you aren't quite so lazy then ;), actually to be fair its only just over a week I came over so you've sorted a fair bit out I suppose :p

:p

fuel tank is back on. bloody thing. tidied up the garage as well, was getting a bit silly.

just need to decide where to drill through the bulkhead for the new wiring. quite worried about doing that.. once its done its done!

Glad to see they arrived mark - guess what got re-delivered back to me today with an apology letter and a cheap bottle of wine  .

Also, i have a part to blame in mark not being able to progress very far, as with my wrist and my couriers sending timescales outa the window, he hasnt been able to stick in at some aspects

Looks smart mark - keep it up!

Don't rush it and overlook something Mark it'll all come together in the end.

Did you leave your petrol tank flat or up ended?

Why do i ask cos after I left mines standing on one end the fuel guage got stuck at empty most times unless I brimmed the tank or took some corners fairly fast.

typical of them aint it. least they apologised and sent booze (y)

only a bit of waiting on parts, its more me not having the time to work on it :(

nice progress arc i like how you are doing everything properly now and then hopefully it should all last a good while i especially like the caliper mounts assume their a jordan creation?

wayne

trying to get it right the first time, so i dont have to redo it. was helping a mate on his car, and he kept throwing all the plumbing back together - and it kept blowing oil lines.. i wanna avoid that.

Cheers Liam.
The tank only had a tiny amount of fuel in it, and was left flat - but with one side raised around 2".

they're just about the right length yeah, cheers for them Aaron (y)

i've found out local hydraulic place can custom make goodridge hoses for me now as well!

oh and i hate gromets. you'd think a 25mm gromet would fit in a 25mm cut hole wouldnt you? no updates. fed up.

Oh dear. You used to be able to get lengths of stuff (rather like an O ring with a slit down one side) to cover the sharp edge of the hole. Dunno if you can still get it. No grommets knocking around at the mo, but I guess the 25mm is the o/d, while the hole is actually 20mm or so. Bummer.
