That's true up to a point. However the dry boiling point of DOT 5.1 fluid exceeds that of silicone (just), a proper motorsport fluid exceeds 5.1.
Silicone gives you a longer pedal because it is much more compressable. It is also immisible with water so if you get some water contamination it sits around in the braking system rather than mixing with the fluid. When using Glycol brake fluid water contamination causes gradual reduction in its performance, with silicone it sits around as water, and thefore boils at 100 degrees centigrade. Water contamination is common, the system must be vented to air.
Its your choice, but I reckon its a bad choice for all sorts of reasons in competion, use glycol and change it regualarly.
