I am sure we can even arrange a shot from the drivers seat, if you can get yourself back inside a cinq.

See you later

You are a god:worship: !

I would have a Cinq again but can't be arsed with the maintenace anymore plus I need an uber reliable car for work.

Another thing to look forward too:slayer:

I'd imagine the joint area would be the area that takes most of the stress, so that makes sense. It actually split the braiding itself, or did it start seeping out? Did it cause total brake failure, or just reduced effectiveness.

As mentioned it was at least lucky it happened after the test, wouldn't have been highly embarrassing if it went during lol.

wouldnt cause total failure on a split sytem though IIRC D has a front rear split opposed to the OE diagonal

I suspect the pressure of trying to stop the brake tester caused the failure. Yes I have front/rear so the fronts stopped working. The back are fine, and I can wind more bias to the rear.

No it did not 'weep', it, excuse the term, ejaculated fluid all over the inner wing. Thank goodness its silicone, no damage to the paint.

New hose obtained this afternoon. Silicone fluid retreived from shed at ayrshire work, should be fitted tomorrow.

Surely you aren't using silicone fluid on a car intended for motorsport? About all it's good for is non maintained museum or display in a field at club event cars.

Oh, yes. I have used silicone exclusively in my competition cars for years. It doesn't boil, it doesn't corrode, and its non flammable.

D,

What plugs are you running in this? I'm going up 1 grade on the heat rating to cope with the increased compression (BCPR7E).

John

I am on 6s at the moment, it won't start on anything hotter. Once its been on the rollers, and possibly with a different ECU, then 7s is what I have been recommended by NGK to use.
