General Sei/Punto 5 speed gear boxes

I think puntos have a longer 5th gear compared to a sei

Ahh right, i thought you was referring to a potential perfromance upgrade, in which case it probably wouldnt be a major benefit, if any at all.

In that case no idea, what about the punto lot? what have they said?

Well the idea is do the Novitec 6 speed conversion, then lob the punto box into the Sei. However if the punto boxes are bigger I might as well just change the FD on a 55 6 Speed...

I'm sure they are practically the same, the 6 speed Punto box sticks out a bit further though.

I have a 1.1 punto box in my 75 1.2 and its the same. I had to do my gearbox the other day and they were exactly the same.

That if is the problem & is what I want to know . I know you can mount them easily enough but this is about case size .
