General front windscreen removal

did a search but nothing came up also looked through haynes to no avail. cracked mine the other week opening the bonnet, so want the one off the cinq im breaking.

how do i get it out though? looks like its held in with just the rubber thing round the edge of it,

any ideas?

Since your one is cracked already you do not need to be careful taking it out. To take it out safely from the donour car, cut the rubber all way round away that you can lift it out safely. To fit it you need to get the rubber seal round the screen and a thin rope round the rubber seal, which you pull from inside the car out as you go along putting it in.

i always use plenty of lube, find it helps it go in better

think i might have done this a bit back to front, ive cut the rubber seal from the cracked screen (dont think i should have done that as i could have used it again)

am i right?

obviously i have to cut the other seal on the good screen, where can i get these rubber seals from?

Seals will come from Fiat, ad yes, you've done it the wrong way round.

pulled one off a scrapped sei in the brakers

cheapest i found new was £18 + vat

well aint that a W*%$ER!

who knew the rubbers were different from a sei to cinq :bang:

got it secure in till car is up and running properly though. any one got a cinq front rubber window seal? (mods, will place this in the wanted sections too

)
