As most of you know I'm pretty new to Centoland but I've been bitten pretty hard by the bug and I'm really enjoying the little blighter. I never seem to be able to buy a car and keep it stock (which was my plan for this one!). So in 2006 I shall be modding it a little bit. My plans are:-

*Clear indictors front and side (Got the front ones already although not fitted yet)
* Returned to standard rear lamps (I Now have everything just waiting for the last bits to be delivered)
* Supersprint Back Box
* McKrich Chip
* Abarth badged plates
* K&N Filter and drilled airbox
* Give the little blighter a full service

I am very tempted to do the 1242 conversion but having just bought a flat with my fiancee I'm not sure I'll have the funds in 2006 but we'll see how we go on that one.

What do you have planned for yours in 2006?

Nick

hey horney,
my plans are going to be happening pretty quickly, they involve:

debadged bonnet
debadged and delocked boot
sparco buckets
omp steering wheel
punto turbo wheels
lowering spring and uprated shocks
ms design rear bumper extension
back half cage

and the sound system smaller than last one so:
sony m8800 headunit
jbl 6 1/2 components
jl audio wo 12" sub 1.5 cubic foot sealed box
jbl 75.4 amp
caliber bass line driver
1 farad vibe capacitor
losts of sound deadening!

thats pretty much it, should be a sweet looking cinq, hopefully anyway.
engine to come later, that will be all thats missing though.

Right where to start..
  • New wheels and tyreson.
  • Fit Gt Brakes to front.
  • Rear disc conversion.
  • Fit 280degree Cam.
  • Get head flowed.
  • Bottom end balanced.
  • Lightened Flywheel.
  • Fit my Nitrous.
  • Repaint rollcage.
  • Fit all my ICE currently not wired up.
  • Fit gauges in heater vent slot.
  • Tidy up all the interior.
  • Fit Chip.
  • Possible respray get all panels the same colour.
Think that's bout the lot so far...

Don't even get me started on stuff to do to my Y10

1242cc:

Reinstate - that means new Gearbox whilst current is being rebuilt, new rad and a few other bits - looking to be complete by end January to mid Feburary 2006 with Abarth front bumper and smooth tailgate :D

Looking to fit rebuilt gearbox by April, and accompany that with balanced and lightened bottom end and 16v head - using a variant of my manifold fo run the engine SPi as a temporary measure.

Maybe later in year (finances permitting therefore doubtful) convert back to 8v and send to vAD, get stuff together for high boost conversion.....Im thinking thats gonna be 2007 :p

899cc:

Cut up in prep for unnamed project
Brakes coming off all way round - rears for UT discs (then swap to 1242cc :D), fronts for vented UT discs on Metro Turbo 4 pot calipers

Dispose of ASAP - Main shell to be removed from garage by March 2006

Been there done that - had Minis for 2 years to build up the NCB then bought an Astra GTE 16V, which 10 years ago was a pretty wick motor.

just getting my 2yrs NCB and then my rex is coming :D

You'll come back to mall engined small cars at some point. I've had 2 MKII Golf Gti's and while I enjoyed them greatly the running costs were aweful. Now I'm getting on a bit, getting married and having just bought a flat my priorities have changed. While I'd dearly love to still have fast cars I can't afford the insurance, tax and fuel consumption that comes with them. This is how I have found myself in the seat of a Seicento.

Enjoy your fast cars while you can because one day they'll have to go then it's the long wait till retirement till you can splash out on one again. Well OK you could land yourself a cushy job with an M3 or something as a company car but what are the chances of that?

Sounding like my Dad!

hehe, big plans in '06

new wheels

modded front end

more power.

and thats about her done!
interior, ice, suspension, brakes, cooling system, all totaly finished, got a few little bits to tidy up, a few things to get for the engine, and see how cheap insurance is on a few other cars :slayer:

get the engine running properly, possibly get it custom remapped, and then come summer look into forced induction again.

one day, might get a respray and a non-dented door and wing.. maybe!
