It was mostly a brainstorm because what I had in mind was simply "The cooler the air, the better", but then again I also forgot we are talking about a 5% increasement of power. This is fine for a hellcat, but it's near nothing in my case haha...

But on another note, it's still an interesting idea, just not for our builds.

Alright, back to reality!
Last week I started overhauling the mk2 6 speed of which I knew it needed new dif bearings. While i'm at it, i'll be replacing the mid housing of the 6 speed with one out of a sei sporting so I can use all connection point from the original sei gearbox mount. Also got myself some new quality tools as well to start collecting my future garage, and expand my customer range to outside my street haha. (Most of the cars i'm maintaining are pretty simple to work on, but now i have the tools needed for the newer VAG group and older Opel/Vauxhels.)

Pics will come tonight

Alrighty. In the meanwhile allot has happened. The 6 speed is ready, and i will probably fit it to my current 16v to "save fuel" on the highway ;)

The bottom end is currently sitting at the machine shop, untill i get my new pistons in. I've decided to go with 8v turbo pistons instead of the stock 16v, together with a steel 1.4 head gasket out of a fiat 500. However...

The pistons i'm about to order comes with a floating pin, while the 16v rod is pressed pin. Is it possible to still use this combo?

The pistons:
