Just come across a wee problem when fitting an oil cooler take off to an engine with the Janspeed four into one manifold.

It fits perfectly, providing the filetr is fitted with the manifold off the car, but once the manifold is fitted, there is no room to unscrew the filter.

I would also be concerned about the heat getting into the filter, so, either way, it needs a remote filter head.

Cheers

I use a Clio oil filter, I think Halfords part no HOF 272 which is very thin and has the bolt on the end to aid removal as its hard to get a grip of the filter due to close proximity of everything on my Cinq and i can get it on and off no problem past the turbo manifold bolts which stick out a bout 8mm, after machining off about 5mm from the screw that holds the take off plate on.

It does sit close to the turbo, but as I get assistance from a Cosworth Engineer when refitting my engine he expressed no concern over it even tho he made a fair few changes to other things in the engine bay from the way Van Aaken set it up.

Aaron.
