Im new to this web site and hope some one can help???

My hand brake cable snapped on me and im trying to fit a new one.

I fitted the new one the same way the old one was. i have tightened the adjuster to the max and it doesn't hold. has anyone had this problem before?

Also does anyone know what torque rear wheel bearing hub nuts should be?

If anyone can help i would be very thankful!!

Make sure that the actuators in the drum are not seized.

I`ve read in previous posts that there is more than one length of handbrake cable(even fiat main dealers know this)
might be worth measuring against your old one?

This sounds like the problem I had, on getting the cable replaced for 2 years straight with the cable that Fiat said was for my car, it was adjusted to the max and I had an OK handbrake for a month, turns out it was the wrong cable!

Get Fiat to show you all the cables they stock for Cinq and Sei, only after you check the acutators first though.
