So, my new little Sei has it's holes patched up, kinda... I think I'm just gonna buy a new system soon lol.

HOWEVER... Now that I have tax, and have driven the car for a bit, I noticed it was getting rather toasty in there. I put my hand up to the fan and lo and behold, HOT AIR! My temperature dial is turned to cold and they're still incinerating me.

So, if anyone knows how to fix this, PLEASE HELP OH GOD I'M COOKING HEUUURGH

sounds as if a flap has not moved, older cars were cabled and used to slip the clips, need to find out if cables or electric.

It is a Sei, so it doesn't use a flap for hot/cold, it uses a "cock" on the hot water input instead. The hot/cold dial opens/closes that cock.

If you have a search for Sei cock on here there will be many threads on it.

so its the water tap used with a cable that has slipped off out of position, god that brings back old memories(y)

I too have a sticky cock... I've tried to get someone to take a look at it, but most mechanics hang up when I ring them with the problem!

BA DUM DUM TSSCH! Thanks guys, I'm here all week.

Lol, my cock is Fked ;D!

I'll have a browse now and see what I can find. Is there any way to just kill the heaters for now? I don't really care to have hot air blasting into the cabin.

remove heater hoses and join,is the quickest fix:D for now but rad will corrode then:eek:

Gain access to the valve behind the cover and release the cable. Don't lose the little clip. Move the valve by hand up and down if you can to clear any scaleing. If it wont move then buy a new matrix complete with valve.
