Worth a try on side skirts, but depends on where there situated ...... me plastic weld and a very light skim of filler. the skirts may flex and crack the repair.

I was worried about it cracking and as said I think tigerseal would be too flexible and crack the filler, I think ill go mutilate my missus's old punto skirts and plastic weld them up :), I've had a quick look on youtube and would I be right in saying a hot soldering iron with a flat/bowed tip would surfice?? Also what prep is involved?? Cheers

Well finally today I got the tracking sorted after replacing the wishbones, all running straight and true now and what can I say, WOW the handling is sooo good, steering is responsive the way the power puts down is absolutely awesome, let's face it she's never going to be a ferrari but she really goes :) I've noticed a real bad mpg recently, but ill put that down to needing a service and the new tb and ecu, and maybe the new found lead weight under my foot :) :)

Can you not glue a piece of something strong behind it and then fill it. A bit of double stick should do it (F61 from a flooring shop) Also some of the no nails type stuff sets hard and sticks to everything, you could then use a fine filler over that? The B+Q ready mixed filler (small pot about £3) sets hard as well come to think of it and can be sanded smooth, not sure how well this sticks to plastic though.

well.... the time has come to replace the brakes, there now pretty much metal on metal, im really after a set of uno turbo calipers if anyone knows where i can get a set, ive been looking at wilwoods (to fit under the 13s,) however have decided the 500 odd quid price tag could be spent in a much better way, so if anyone has, or knows of a set of uno tub calipers going, gimme a shout asap, if not does anyone have any experiance with any of the aftermarket disk/pad options?? thoughts??opinions?? recommendations?? lol

cheers in advance guys,

lee

I'm yet to fit but I'm using panda multijet calipers which use same size discs but they're vented so will fit under 13s and give better stopping power the calipers and carriers came to about 100 disks and pads were about 50 odd quid the only issue that I can see is the mounting points on the arm side may need drilling out as it uses larger bolts to retain the calipers than the centos

They were off scar from an eBay scrappy I've cleans them up and fitted new bleed nipples. Tbh hadn't thought about offset etc will have a look when fitment comes which I don't know when as cars off the road for the winter but I may trial fit soon as its intriuging me so can do a full write up then. I'm also looking at a rear disk conversion using 500, panda calipers but they seem to be a bit pricey at the mo

When I had UNO tub calipers, they came with red dot 6groove disks and ferodo ds2500 pads. Was very happy with the setup.

I recon my full Wilwood setup has cost around £500, just keep eye on eBay.
Front calipers, discs and pedal box were brand new but second hand off eBay, and the rear calipers were used. Discs are red dot 6groove again from the front of the cinq.
Mounts took a while to make, but did them myself

Yea was looking at the uno setup but am being swayed towards the multijet setup, will have to find out about the offset of the disks and see what happens :) as they seem to be easily available and maybe just the same stopping power :)

Got a bonnet skirts and my bumpers to paint first, then ill think about brakes, in the mean time I guess a set of standard pads will have to get me by for the time being, I suppose they're better then metal on metal

Kwikfit I think I'd rather go to the zoo and get real monkeys to do the job, atleast they won't come out with as many excuses lol, I'd come and help but I'm miles away from you, its not a hard job, if you've got some basic tools then I'd have a look through the guides section and get on it :) not a hard jon at all, and I guarantee you'll do a better job then kwikfit lol

Its having the time and knowledge, I am sure with time I could do it, have basic tools as well. But hoping to get them upgraded instead if I can and I really don't have time for that
