Re: Schumacher ABS and MOT

Switch under the handbrake lever is not stuck on any other ideas. Could we have wired something back wrong?

Re: Schumacher ABS and MOT

i have been readin this thread with shock nd horror as i hav a shumi thats just dun 50k, if i ever have 2do rear bearings i will be lookin 2c how the bearings r fitted, lets face it fiat got them in there! on the edge of the bearing there will be a number so google is the 1st stop then ring the local bearing company (2 in derby) if thats not possible i will be lookin 2c how the relucutor ring is fitted on the hub, these r usually made seperate nd sweated on the hub (just like flywheel ring gears) so out with the hot spanner nd CAREFULL tap, re-heat nd spin on the new hub, i not dun this on my car yet but thats how i got round these sort of probs wen i was swingin spanners 4a livin

You can reset this using FiatECUScan, an ELM327 interface and the 'Red' adaptor cable from Gendan Auto. It plugs into the OBDII socket like the 'standard' cable, but the 'standard' cable has the wrong pin-outs.
I had the airbag light come on because of a voltage spike and FIatECUScan reset it no problem. Top tip from the garage... Set the latency to 1ms on setup otherwise you'll probably find you won't get communication with the airbag ECU.
