Hi Guys,

looking for another bit of advice for my wee 1998 fiat seicento

My last post was in regards to a light that kept coming up on my dashboard that looked like this..





Now the advice i was previously given was great and I've recently had my car fully serviced and the light never came on!

But coming back from edinburgh last night, the light came back on!!

It also slowed the car down and made it kind of shoot forward, making me (a new driver) panic.

Could anyone give me any advice on what this might be and how to fix it?

The management system is upset. There is a sensor giving incorrect information.

The trick will be to find which sensor. Try the car this morning and note at what point the light comes on.

Hi I'm Kerri's Dad & as I said on an other thread the car isn't at my house. I gave the car a service...oil & filter, air filter, plugs, leads recently.

The light doesn't come on at any specific time & not very regular (it's not a daily thing) but would a diagnostic check source the fault? There's no engine management warning light remaining on or anything.

yes id say change it as its a overlooked part in a service (only serviceable on SPI pre October 2001)

Yup, if you can find a place that can read the ecu, it will find the fault!
