UPDATE

well ive got the 75 and 60 tb now, I am struggeling to get a chance to use the lathe at work as im not supposed to use it for stuff from home.

So i decided to take the plunge and do it with a Dremel, i have found to do it i need three different tools:

High Speed Cutter (194)
Sanding drum
felt polishing wheels

The high speed cutter easily eats throught the material so i used it just for roughing out.

Then i finished of the shape with the sanding drums there is about 2hrs work so far, here are some pics;

and you also have to cut down three circular posts on the bottom of the spi unit;

More work needed still though.

more progress

i turned down the spacer today to 20mm

then i finished of porting the tb plus polishing it

also did the butterfly shaft

i then fitted it reset the ecu and took it out for a quick drive.

There is definatly a difference it pulls a lot better now, i wouldnt say a massive difference but its definatly there, maybe it will get better as the ecu learns.

Well done I did this mod and it does make a difference
although i'm worried now as i didn't see any lugs that
needed removing

you only have to remove the lugs if you use the thin gasket from the 75 tb.

If you used the thick gasket from the spi tb you would not have to cut the lugs

hope this helps
