i have taken my Sei off the road and it has been sitting for a while, i was giving it a run every so often but now it won't start. the battery ran flat so i charged it but it still doesn't start. It doesn't even try to, i turn the key and nothing, is this something to do with the immobilisor?

does the CODE light on the dash come on and go off after a few seconds

yes it does, all the lights do what they should, and the code light comes on, then goes off as i believe it always did when i was driving it.

didnt overcharge battery did you? did you clean the conections before you fitted it?

I think this is funny you slag everyone else's cars off yet yours doesn't even start.....

Immobiliser doesn't stop the engine turning over, could be starter motor related.

yeah maybe starter motor is stuck. is there any noise at all when you turn key??? any clicking noise ?

HI chaps, seems like a few of your are upset? well sorry about that, but what's the big deal? If you're happy with your cars and proud of them what does it matter if a few people don't agree? barryboys is there for fun, i think a lot of people take it very seriously. It also seems that some of the less articulate among you seem to think that by using **** words you can get me to comply? Maybe a polite request would be better?

not everyone likes havin their car slagged off, be it for fun or not, some people take it quite personally as they put a lot of hard work into their cars, only to read people sayin s**t about it..

as some point everyone will have their car slagged off, the only difference is, u came in here askin for help, then basically stole pics without permission with the intent of posting on another site which has the sole purpose to put down the hard work that other people do.

so wat if u dont like it, doesnt mean u have to share that thought with the person who modded the car, or post it on the internet for everyone who doesnt agree with his ideas to abuse him freely.

i think that is y u pissed a lot of people off.... just seems a little too faced that u are all buddy buddy on here wantin help, while at the same time sayin how s**t the members cars are on another site!

point taken, although to be fair, i've been on here for quite a while and have received help on numerous occasions. I didn't join the site with the intention of using pics, i was just browsing that particular day and thought some were worthy of BB.

personally i dont think anythin said on barry boys should b takin even remotly serious.... personally i think it is full of pre pubessent children who have nother better to do than get mummy and daddy to buy them cars and pick faults with what everyone has to make themsevles feel better about what they have! however for everyone who likes a car there is goin to b a least one person who hates it! fact.

its the same with everythin, some people like it some people dont, and if there is a web site for people who like modded cars, then of course there is a web site for people who hate them!

and u have every right to have an opinion about what people do and every right to express that opinion...

all i am sayin is that it just seems out of order to use the pics of people who have helped u out to gain reputation on another site, especially when said site is all about picking faults with the people who went out of their way to b helpfull to u!

I'm sorry if people feel abused but i didn't "steal" the pictures to gain reputation, just to share, that's what the web's all about. and like you say, there will be places that like and places that hate certain cars. I belong to both kinds of sites, i certainly don't hate modded cars but some of the things people do to their cars i think is funny, and i'm sure some of the things i do are funny. i mean, how funny is it that i have a 2000 Fiat sei sporting, yet my everyday car is a Rover 214Sli M reg Mk2 (Grandad shaped!) That is damn funny and i know it, and i'm not worried about taking the **** out of myself it's all good.

I believe people were looking for an apology at the least. You did "steal" the photos and in a very sly way, I personally dislike mosy modified cars but the idea of breaking people's trust by laughing about their cars behind their backs is awful.

Whether or not you have abused anybody's car that you help it doesn't matter; we are quite a tight group of friends and if somebody does this to our group we all take offence. You have started over 10 threads asking for help and then go and do this to our group of friends, what do you expect us to be like?

The internet ISN'T about using people for help then laughing about them behind their back, well not last time I thought about it.

y thank u.... and not directly u didnt offend anyone who helped u, but as u can c by the responses, offend one person in a close group and the whole group feel offended to some extent, is it just the principle of wat happened that other people are annoyed about!

and i c your point about sharing, i mean i admittly find some of the cars on that site very funny... but i think each to their own, and maybe for every single car on that site there is a proud owner who has put hard work into it with whatever resources they have!

and i also agree about being able to take critisim and take the **** out of my self, i mean i am very much an individual and like to stand out (imola cinq, red interior!!!) and i kno that some people arent goin to like my ideas, and i am not bothered about that, not one bit! i dont take it personally as i kno everyone opinion is different!

BUT not everyone is like that, and whenever u "share" fellow members pics with people who dont like it then u are bound to offend a large ammount of people who didnt agree with what u did.... but at the end of the day it is over and done with and in a couple of weeks everyone will b ok.

take baby sei for example, A LOT, and i mean A BLOODY LOT, including myself, love what she has done with her car, especially when u c how it started out, yet she has been on barry boys twice, maybe 3 times now, is she bother? i dont think she could care less, but not everyone is gonna have that responce!
