Hi,

would a tire with a lower aspectratio on a 13" wheel (keeping the diameter the same) give a stiffer sidewall? (and thus better steering response?)
Wouldn't the sidewall be more or less the same height and thus stiffness? giving no gain in response?

I'm asking because my (front) tires seem to be losing a bit of air after hard cornering (145/70R13), so I suspect i'm nearly rolling them off my wheels.

Is there anybody that makens a more performance oriented tire in this size?

Which Cinq do you have?

AFAIK, there's nothing street suitable and performance available for 13s. But those are very high profile. Lower profile -- if they'll fit your rims -- won't improve steering response, but will help grip and turn in.

If you are loosing air, there's likely to be something wrong with the rim and/or the tyre.

it is an 899 with steelies, no alloys yet.
I'm thinking about alloys though, that why I asked the question.
basically I guess going for sporting wheels/tires is the best option
