my car was in the garage tooday for some spraying doing to it -

1) underneath petrol cap the paint was flacking away
2) slight rust on the driverside front wheel arch
3) I scraped the offside wheel arch a couple of months back

all of this came to £45, i thought thats a complete bargain cos its 3 seperate areas of the car he has to sort out

this bloke is really busy hes got a 2 month waiting list, and in that time i decided i wanted me boot de-locking aswell

i asked him how much he wanted for the whole work and he said £60

so thats £15 for the boot de-locking

i know alot of people on here are being quoted figures in the region of £100 just for the boot being de-locked

you may also think that the quality of his work is **** - ive had a look this evening and it looks mighty fine

boot de-locking ? have you lost the keys lol or is something toattly different to what it sounds ?

yeah i know but still knowhere near what some people are being charged for them elsewhere around the country -

he's still got to fit that back of the lock on the door and polish in the paint i think he said - so im without a car for a night

Mine goes in tomo for same job. Decided the wiper is going too may aswell while its there

i dont think the early s/sx's had the bump on the lock, where it bulges out for the lock which is where the cost is afaik

Had mine off today and it had the bump when you took the handle off the back. Apparently my brothers also had this. Good news guys THE WIPER is OFF. Hope it looks ok by the end of the day

any chance you could find out how much it would've cost just to have the lock/wiper off?
