Hi
When ever i start up my 899 seicento i get a loud tapping noise from the engine bay. This only seems to happen if the car has not been used for more than 12 hours and is parked on the right had side of the road. I was wondering if due to the camber of the road the oil may be draining out of the engine.
After about a minute the loud tapping stops. and yet the oil level is full and there is no scum on the oil at all.
is this something to be worried about?

Yes and no.

It will be the oil draining from your hydraulic tappets. It can help to flush them out if they are sticking, used to cost less than a tenner to do, but with derv prices the way they are, it could be more than that.

so u feel that i should get this checkout by a fiat dealer? or should i just try a local garage as london prices may be damn rediculous........
