Quick question, we bought a sei a few months back, got no complaints, cracking little very reliable car but this is one thing that is worrying me.

When you hit 70mph there is a vibration from the front end, now I thought this was down to wheel balancing, but now I am not to sure as the front bumper is a little flimsy on the sei so I now think it maybe the front bumper being caught in the wind and vibrating the front end at high speed.

Anyone else had this ?

Is there a bracket you can buy or make to stop this ?

Thanks Ivan

have you ruled out balancing?if not swap front and rear wheels to rule that out.if you are thinking its the bumper you will most likely have to bodge up a bracket.i would check all the standard fittings are intact and not cracked as no ones mentioned it before

mine used to shake really bad at about 80 just ignored it and when i had ny new tires on and wheels ballanced i can do 110 on the speedo and its plain sailing and thats with a flimsy loose bumper on my cinq so i would think its ure wheels that need balancing m8

Yeah, my Sporting has proper major wheel-wobble abt 75 thru 80mph. Everything's all good and proper and tight, but my wheels havent been balanced in ages!

Yerr I am sure the balancing is fine but I will swap the fronts and back to make sure, the reason why I said about the bumper is that the thing is very flimsy, all the brackets are intact but it still wobbles with light pressure.

i drove my sei one day when i *forgot* to put all the brackets back on the bumper and it took 80 without an wobbling or hassle matey so i think u can rule it out. They are pretty flimsy, thats just the way there designed. I'd defo check the wheels out first, a balancing place shouldn't charge ya more than a tenner, I got four new tyres put on balanced and all and i only got charged £18 odd

you cant rule ure balancing out without having it checked ! on the cinq u can grab the middle of the bumper and it wobbled like f*ck so trsut us it isnt ure bumper just get ure tracking checked it only like £10 £20 max ! whats the point in messing round with stuff on it b4 u get the most obvious thing checked..... and why are you so sure its not the tracking btw ?
