Hi,

I pulled a very small nail (about 8-10mm long, no more than 1mm diameter) from the thickest part of the tread of my almost new (two weeks old) tyre today. I thought it was a stone so went to pick it out and it turned out the be the end of a nail. The tyre seems fine and hasn't lost pressure so far.

Does this need to be repaired or will it be ok? Thing is, if the nail has left a hole in the tyre as it wears away won't it eventually leak?

Photo of nail attached against a 5p coin.

Thanks.

As long as it's air tight it wont need repairing,as the tyre wears down it will only wear down the hole,it wont make a hole if it has not gone right through.
