After seeing the flash car wash kit advertised on television, I took the plunge and got one, even though it was twenty quid!!!

Got home and could not wait to try it out. Opening the box I saw this strange contraption that looked a cross between and iron and a nail gun - lol, you add the detergent (included) in the front of it and place a large water filter in the back.

You connect to your hose and select the plain water on the dial and wet your car, then switch the dial to soapy water and sud up you car and use a sponge to wash as normal and rinse with water again.

Now comes the clever bit, you then give another rinse with the ionised water and leave the car to dry and it really does leave the car smear free and shiny too.

Overall I think it was £20 well spent and would recommend it to anybody.

It's great on the paintwork but not quite so good on the brightwork. I recommend using a normal cleaner first if the car is really dirty (turtlewax wash&wax is good) and then use the flash.

It does save the hours of chamois work quite nicely though.

Flash is great! (y) Every weekend I visit my girlfriend at her parents her dad washes my car at the the same time as washing his!! :D Quality finish to the car, with no elbow greese!! :D

Might get one to try out on the Mrs

Just bought one today and used it on my car and hubbies,he isn't so enthusiastic as I am about it, but hey he's been an autoglym and elbow grease fella since year dot. I agree with you lot, I would certainly recommend it - it does save on the hours of elbow grease and it does do what it says, and leaves a good dry finish - but theres nothing wrong with a bit of elbow grease every now and again to keep things top notch!!! How often does it need a new refil tho? Or should I say how many decent washes do you get out of it...Its usually the refil's that make them the money

first refill lasts 3 washes, replacements last 10 washes,
i see some thing called demon shine other day you add a bit to rince water an it also supposed to leave car dry an streek free

working in halfords , we sell alot of them but get about half brought back or complained about, because of white marks it leaves sometimes which are perminant and ruin the paintwork..
