After having a bit of fun (too much clearly) on some b roads. The clutch went to the floor. After some looking around had to call recovery. So car left at local garage to await what needs done.

I hope so. I've just got all the parts to install a double din stereo with sat nav lol.

Wasn't there a long running thread on FF about some white plastic clip that breaks/becomes detached on the Bravo (+Stilo?) clutch pedal resulting in the pedal going to the floor and no longer operating the clutch.

That could be interesting to read. Will need to try find that

I did a bit of searching - it seems that this 'plastic clip' sometimes failed on the Fiat Stilo resulting in the clutch pedal no longer operating the clutch.
The Bravo 2 was a development of the Stilo and shared many components including this clutch pedal clip.

One such thread :- 'Has anybody's clutch pedal white clip broken'

(there have been lots of posts about this problem on the Stilo and later Bravo 2).

'Davren' , one of the Moderators here on F.F. has helpfully posted the relevant parts diagrams incl. parts no's.
It appears that either of two different arrangements have been used on the Bravo 2, so you need to check carefully before ordering any parts. For one type, the clip is available separately, for the other type, the clip only comes with a new clutch master cylinder.
Davren's info is in post #7 of the above suggested thread, he gives further info later on also.

That's great. I might pass that on to the garage as they didn't even have a proper look and were pricing up a new clutch. I had to explain what the rac guy told me to them. Which was met with "I guess we can have another look"

Ok update. Garage has found the problem. Funnily enough it's not the clutch. It's the pipe that runs from the slave cylinder to the clutch itself. A part that can oy be ordered from..... Fiat in Milan. Because according to the fiat dealership here in the UK the bravo is an exceptional car. (great to know fiat have said our bravo is exceptional) high praise indeed. So cars in garage for further 2 days.

Well car is still in the garage. Fiat in Italy don't seem to be in much of a hurry to manufacture the part. On the plus side while she is in, she's had a full service, brakes been done, seeing as the garage had the clutch off its been replaced so new clutch, timing belt and water pump has been done. All while waiting on the part from Italy. She will be like a new car when I finally get her back lol.

Eventually got her back. £800+ later. Turned out it wasn't the white clip but a pipe from the slave cylinder down to the pedal had decided to disintegrate.
