I have a question that maybe you can anwser for me.
As the tuning/modification level isn't very high on the Dutch forum they can't anwser my question.

I can buy original Fiat Bravo Xenon headlights for €150,- a set. Is it posible to install those headlights without creating a error on youre board?computer.
Or is it possibleto reconfigure the computer to Xenon.

Have anyone done this before? Thanks for any info!

I have done the opposite of this, I used to have the standard xenons but after an accident I chose to switch to the cheaper ones. I had no problem in doing it.

The onboard computer program is different on the bravo with xenon, it's doesn't have the up and down switches for the headlights.

The car's is not detecting any missing bulb so it's a good sign for you.

ps: I wish I coud buy the xenon headlight at the same price as you, they cost €900 a piece here !!! (€1800 a set).

Thanks for the information! I will post my results here on this forum.
For €150,- they are a complete bargain I agree but I never realised that they are this expensive :O

I have to drive to Belgium (from Holland, so thats oke) to pick them up but they are worth it.

As promised I would reply here if the headlights would work en they do!
No error on the computer en now I got orginal Xenon headlights for €150,- a SET

If I can get my hands on more in the future mayb some people are interested?

O I will post a picture when I replaced them because atm they are not installed only 1 time connected. Haven't come around this job yet..

Hi. I would really like to buy a set of this original hid xenon headlights because in Cyprus they are really expensive. If you can send me a set in Cyprus am willing to give you 100 pounds more for your effort doing it, if possible ufcourse.

I love some xenon lights for my Bravo :)

Did you remember to change the fuses in the dashboard to allow for the new bulbs (xenon or standard halogen)?

Just out of curiosity, are these legal as they don't have headlamp washers? Not sure how you'd go about fitting them, unless you already have them. All UK cars with Xenon headlight need those, plus they must be self levelling.

FCS did you accomplished the xenon headlights change? Can you post some photos of the swap and the efect after changing?
Like was writen before regarding the law, having washers and auto adjustment. Will the auto adjustment work after swaping for original halogen lights or the bravo needs to have some special headlamp engine with automatic mode?
Standard halogen lights has got the arrows to adjust the hight of light beam.
I am realy looking for a solution to see further on the road and specialy in bad weather. The present situation I have with the headlamps is not good. I can see only for about 5m and in bad weather I have fear to ride.

Hid/xenon require self level system and washers officially, the unit itself is probably plug and play with all electronics in the lamp unit at least it is that way on rovers I have no experience on fiats of this but guess its no different. It is not really possible to retro fit the levelling and washers which could lead to issues with mot or equivalents although people don't seem to have too much trouble with this in the UK at the moment, strictly speaking not legal though.

Sounds like your headlights are not correctly setup. Need to get them corvette adjusted, and perhaps fit some osram night breaker plus or Ring Xenon max bulbs (y)

thanx for your early reply....I will contact my local fiat shop for test the headlamps settings.....if this dont help I will try the nightbraikers  although I heard about their short lifetime....in Slovakia we have this law to have the headlamps always on, also during day...

You want the Night breaker plus bulbs, not the normal night breakers as they have a better life expectancy (y)

So how do nightbreakers compare to HIDs?

No halogen bulb will ever reach the light output of HID.

The only difference between night breakers and normal halogens, is they're slightly more powerful and have a blue filter to make them appear white and not yelloy.

Sometimes more powerful halogen bulbs melt your headlight casing and wires as well as screw with your electronics. so use with caution.

i can't understand the problem, i have owned and driven lots of cars over the years and the Bravo standard headlights are excellent, if they are anything but excellent they just need alignment.
uprated bulbs dont seem to make a difference, they are projector headlights after all

Fiat Cinq and 500 headlamps on the other hand...

The headlights in my old MK1 Focus were much better than the Bravos, the only thing better with the Bravos lights is that they have a wider spread. Both are trounced by the headlights on the Citroen C1 I had as a courtesy car last year though!
