She's a little shy and will be making her first appearance at a private barbeque. Then next Friday at an Alfa Owners meet then on the 19th she'll be at Stanford for all to see. Might park her up with the Fiat Stand Bravo...

joking of course. She wants in on the Forum stand with the other Black cars :)

hurry up stanford!! its not long!

black cars FTW! ;)

Looks really sexy Hellcat! you will enjoy the driving of the Bravo as I have I have no doubt of!

WOW on the insurance thought as I came from a Stilo Abarth gropu 15 to the Bravo Group 10 and saved on my ins, with £30 refund, but I am an old bugger at 41! with 11yrs NCD

Are thoose the standard 17 inch rims for the sport?

Looking very cool!

They are indeed.

Roads are too poor to go for anything too big - I was worried about 17s being too big!

As for insurance - just wanted to point out that I only pay £40 more than I did for the Marea. Not £40 on top of the £1400 quoted by direct line!

You guys have been getting some taking the Pee quotes from direct line!
Its left me rather confused anyway.
I just tried online and they quoted me £377 fully comp, protected NCD/legal for the Tjet 150Sport and also for the Mjet 150Sport.

Currently im at £280 on my Brava but the jump I could deal with, I mean 1.2 80bhp base model or 150bhp top spec model, I can deal :)

On a none related question.
How does the stereo sound in the Bravo? I noticed in the doors that the speaker mounts looked smaller then the Stilo's so been wondering if sound has been compromised or not

The ICE in the Bravo sounds pretty damn good to me (this is coming from a Marea where the rear speakers are in a different time zone). Bigger is not always better and the Alfa influences are all over. The stereo has anti-clipping (did stilo?) and sounds very clear all the way up to LOUD!

no idea what the anti clipping thing is or if the stilo stereo had it. Ours was wipped out on day one due to lack of CD player.
As Long as its got good clarity, treble and bass levels i'll be happy. As it is I am already sold on the usb port for mp3 playing

That plus intergrated bluetooth phone hands free (which is unbelievably clear + can read text messages), makes the Bravo quite stunning in the ICE department.

From what little I've learnt from various jobs in AV, clipping is when the amplified signal exceeds what the amplifier can support and anything above its maximum is simply cut off and lost. This obviously doesn't sound very good so the anti-clip thing just drops the amplification until the sound isn't being clipped.

almost :)

anything that will go above the amp's max will simply stay at the max (it isnt lost, just limited to the max). this means the waveform will become flat if everything hits max, which doesnt sound 'right'.

to maintain the correct waveform, anti-clipping will ensure the max point on your wave is also the max point for the amp's output (or less, but never more), effectively reducing output for the whole waveform to keep it all under the max. basically it limits your amp's output to maintain the correct waveform. or as i prefer to say, your volume knob knows better than you.

Congrats on the new car Rob, RE insurance as you know I went from a Marea 2.4 JTD to a 3.2 M3 Evo coupe & all I had to pay extra was 69 pounds ?? well chuffed !:)

Direct line do a 7 day free insurance so you can drive the car away.. (in other words it allows the dealer to tax the car). They also give you a quote for insurance.

Bravo Sport 150 is Group 10. Note: The Marea is group 12.

25yr old fully comp 4 years NCB - £1400  Currently paying £500ish with protected NCB

Phone my current insurer - to change to this £15k car... extra £40

Crazy.

Well nearly four thousand miles covered now.. Apart from the black being a pain in the rear to keep clean, I'm loving it. Only gripes - and these are my fault - is not getting the climate control, and electric rear windows. Otherwise it's an excellent car :D

65 days... :D
