Just drove my car home from work and the engine control light has started flashing, Everytime i accelerate or change keep the car jerks and shakes a little. Any idea what this could be and how to solve it?

the cheapist and easyist wll be to try a good fuel injector cleaner in your fuel.try a change of plugs.if that dont work and the light remains on all the time you will need a diagnostick check up to tell you what the fault is.the odd flash here and there is not a fault.
