thats a crazy price. you can do it by yourself in an hour with basic tools, if you aren't very confident with mechanics i'd recommend using a haynes manual because brakes are important. or ask about im sure you'll get it cheaper. or buy the parts and just pay a garage to fit them, that way you wont have to accept the 'trade' parts that garages use.

you can get mintex pads and delphi discs for a reasonable price using this link
http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/brakes_front_display.php?txtmodel=BRAVO&Submit=Next&txtmake=FIAT

but you'll probably get the same parts cheaper at your local motorfactors, expect it to cost 50quid for good quality parts, and a garage should only charge 25quid to fit them. it should take them half an hour.

thanks for your replys....think thats what im gonna do buy the parts and ring around to see if i can get them fitted at garage...would try and fit them myself.."shocked myself the other week by fitting a slave cylinder"..but like you said brakes are a little more important to get right...thanks again for you replys..and if any of you need advice on slave cylinders-im your man:D..cheers

is there a guide with lots of photos of how to take it all apart, put new pads in and put it all back together?

There isn't a guide as far as I'm aware, however I'm writing one for a Marea right now which is basically the same. I'll ask Helz to copy it into the Bravo section too. If you can wait until Sat the guide should be there...

There is a step-by-step guide in the Tipo section. Apart from the difference of a spring clip to remove, and 8/6mm allen bolts instead of 13mm bolts they are very similar.

If you have replaced a clutch cylinder then you're more than ready to tackle some front disc brakes.

Bunny can change the brake discs and pads - I'm not sure I'd trust her to do the clutch slave cylinder though :p

shov the garage...just went and got the parts myself 65 quid and got myself a haynes manual..and a little help of the boo site...dont look to be to hard if itake my time-just about to start it now...ive got more tools that helfords "apart from a f-ing 7mm alenkey" just off to get one now...thanks for all your helps...will keep u informed...
