Cheers RobW, very helpful! Whys it in the wrong forum?

ascott92, nice one. Would you advise a full kit, ie, Springs and shocks? or just springs? I love the ride as standard but i'd rather it be a little lower. If replacing the springs and shocks is goin to ruin the handling, I'd rather not do it.

Cheers (y)

You have posted this in the 2007+ Bravo forum rather than the older Bravo forum.

I think RobW was only advising as you are likely to get more help from the other forum as there you will be seen by people who have the same car and may have answered the question/problem you have.

i agree with m20b25, springs alone can cause the ride to be excessively bumpey so a good set of stiffer dampers will keep the springs in check. these some apex sports springs and damper kits on ebay for around the £330 mark

As the others say, its best to uprate it all, if not for the mere fact you put extra stresses and strains on components when you lower it, so it's best to have it all done together, as they are designed to work together.

But springs are a VERY important part of a car, never ever skrimp and save on such a vital component. If you can't stretch to a well known kit, even just the lowering springs, I'd strongly advise against it. Number one priority when modifying should be, is it going to be as safe/safer?

thing is theyre NOT ebay cheapies are they? Theyre from a company selling lowering springs which have been made for that car. They have been manufactured to suit etc Theyre just nameless as you say hence why they are cheap.
But yeah you get what you pay for technically.

40 alround should be fine, you dont wana go any lower. Ive got 60 and its hard ride and too low. When i get to that stage ill be going 40mm OR i might just put 40 on back and leave front on standard,as my kit is low enough.

Cheers for all of the responses guys! I've decided to give the lowering a miss for a while! Possibly getting a 2.5 v6 alfa 156 or I'll do my little bravo up and make her look nice, but original. :D
