I took my car to get the wheel alignment done today. The steering was fine before but once I got it back it was swaying all over the place. I took it back and the guy redone it. He showed me the results on computer screen adn the tracking was spot on. The guy from the mot gararge next door test drove it and said it was a suspension fault. Fair enough. So when driving home the car sways to the right they to the left. Once I got home I jacked up the car and shook the wheels. No movement in them. I noticed when going over bumps on way home the nearside was banging at the top of the wing going over bumps and this made the car unsteady too. The offside was fine. Anyone any ideas whats causing this? Thanks

either the top mounts on your suspension struts have died there for changing the geometry of the wheel dragging you off to one side or the wishbone bushes have done the same,

either way they would both affect the tracking and tracking could not be done correctly if one or the other was broken, even if they aligned it on there machine it may not be set right after a drive.
