my wheel fell off :'(

not totally off tho... and not much damage.

there was a weird noise, and i pulled over, and then plonk, car goes wonky on one side
the wheel was held on by ONE bolt, the others were lost somewhere down the road ???
took the wheel off, and borrowed a bolt from each other wheel to get me home, which was only down the road. 2 mins later taking it rate steady, the bolts have worked loose again ???
think the thread of my hub is fubared so gonna need a new one. got AA out cos thought i needed towing, but after a quick sprint home in a mates car, i got the standard wheel bolts and put the space saver on held with 2 bolts cos thats all i could find : didnt work loose so its ok atm, but need to get more bolts on, alex said he looked at my wheel and it looks all dodgy, gonna have a proper look tomorrow but think im gonna sell them wheels and run some ones MEANT for a fiat cos i aint trusting wobbly bolts on wheels not meant for my car anymore tbh!

At least the wheel stayed on enough to keep you safe and not bugger the chasis...

Are you sure that someone hasn't tried stealing your wheels? Or you've pissed someone off recently?

the thread on the remaining bolts are screwed so i guess the wheels have just been taken off and put on too many times and the bolts werent made out of very good metal

it doesnt matter how many times you remove or refit a wheel, it makes no difference to the wheel or the bolts.

i can 100% guarantee that something has been done wrong, such as using the wrong thread bolts, or overtightening the bolts has stripped the threads, or the bolts can not accomodate the change in PCD, or you did not use a full set of wobbly bolts.

i'm getting this feeling you dont have spigot rings fitted?....
