my cars nearly back on the road, but it has to be moved anyway so need to get this mount asap.

its a 2.0 20v hgt bravo, and i need the top half of the front gearbox to chassis mount.

been round loads of lacal scrap yrds and cant find a 20v. anyone know if 20v marea, or 2.0 20vt coupes, the mount is the same?

if so, i can get a 2.0 20vt copue mount, but not sure if they are the same or not.

Marea mount will be the same. Dunno about coupe.

they wanted £76 for just the mount bit! 1.40 for the screw is fine.

not sure what im gona do. cant afford £76 for just the mount.

if the thread becomes knackered on my one from where ive been trying to get it out, is there anyway i can still use it?

ive got the mount, has an easy out snapped in it now though. any ideas?

drill it out, then tap it to the next biggest thread, then use a bolt with that same thread, jobs a good un. i strongly suggest you use a bench drill.

i havnt got a heavy duty drill at the moment. could probably get a hand held one, but doubt a benxh drill. Anyone local with a bench drill?

i obviously would need to drill the lower part of the mount aswell

does anyone know of anyone breaking a 2.0 hgt or maybe the 1.9 dieasel, as heard they may have the same mount.

take it to a local workshop, they'll be able to do it for you, it should only cost a tenner complete with suitable bolts.
