Car Keyed

WTF?? do you understand, I DONT PAY IF FOR IT. MY INSURANCE COMPANY DOES. i dont care if they get charged £100000000000 it makes no difference to me.

Doesnt matter what football team i support.

surely though your premium will increase for claiming. or at least your no claims will be gone.

i know it doesnt matter ive seen some of the carnage caused for people that support the "wrong" team thats why i asked as you said it was likely a celtic supporting chav.

It doesnt matter why Carl, leave the footy thing out of it, Beany will do what he thinks best as all adults do.

Gutted for you mate. Honestly

Had my bonnet vandalised the other week and still haven't got it fixed, but yours is far worse mate.

Hope it gets sorted soon, and that the person who did it to you chokes in their sleep.

thanks for all the well wishes, i mean i guess the car is allright at the end of the day and still drives ect. could be worse i guess. Just phoned the insurance they said excess £150 and insurance will go up and i lose my no claims. CHRIST bet the person the did it doesnt think about all that. GRRRRRRRRRR

bad luck anyway seriously look into a personal quote though.

Gutted for ya mate, whether it's a wing mirror kicked off or a key down the side doesn't matter...it still sucks!

People who can go around and do this to other folks cars, just for the sheer hell of it (be it fun, envy or whatever) are the scum of the earth. Hopefully you'll get it sorted though (y)

Weigh up what your excess and increased premium will cost over 2 years or so against the cost of paying yourself mate, might be cheaper to get it done privately and take it on the chin.

down to the metal so hard its flaked the paint? OUCH!

As was said, weigh up the costs of the increased premium & excess vs the initial outlay, have you taken the car to a body shop and had them look at it or just phoned around? I'd take it to be seen (sorry if you have, it just isn't clear to me atm if you have or not )

Sorry to hear it pal, I'd be going absolutely f-ing balastic, as I imagine you are!

As you say though, at least it still drives - could be a lot worse, but saying that you still did not deserve it.

Do you not know of any one who works at a body shop? Unfortunately there is no cheap alternative to getting good quality work done!

In the long run, you'd probably be better of paying a shop rather than going through the insurance.

As mentioned previously make sure you report it to the Police in case it does happen again.

Also - I know you probably don't want to keep looking at it, but post up some pictures of the damage so we can all cry along with you.

I'd still get a touch up paint first. If your not sure what your doing have a little read up on how to do it properly. For less than £20 outlaw you can fix these things yourself. If you have the skill and patience. The Marea had one headlight to tail light 3-4mm down to the metal a couple years ago. Dunno if yourself or Stev managed to notice it at Perth? ;)

Not pretanding it's perfect but plenty cheaper than having half a car resprayed or losing out on your excess and no claims.

Whats the worst that can happen? You only make it look much better instead of perfect.
