Hi everyone, I have an Alfa Romeo Giulietta with first generation blue&me, so I had to buy the Blue&me adaptor.

Sometimes it works fine, I can even control the music from the iphone since I have iOS7, but sometimes the phone shows the message "this accessory is not compatible with iPhone" and when I press the "media" button, the radio display shows "no source available"; after a while or after repeating a still not identified sequence of disconnecting tha adaptor and turning on and off the dashboard it starts working again

Anyone noticed the same problem?
I also tried with an iPhone 3GS with 5.1.1 and is always recognised

I would try to replace the dock connector, but first I'd like to see if anyone has the same problem with the same phone

Since updating to iOS7 my 4S hasn't worked either. Not had too much time to play with it, but the first time I connected it to USB adapter after updating it said 'accessory not compatible' on the phone and 'no source' in the car.

The calls and Bluetooth work fine, just the USB for music - which is a pain as I'd just purchased spotify premium and had started using that in the car!

I have a Grande Punto Sporting (56 Reg) so that's 1st gen blue and me too.

Any ideas or help from anyone would be appreciated!

Unfortunately I've always use it with iOS7 on this phone, so I cannot say it's due to the firmware

In my case, it stops working only sometimes and I still have to figure out what it is; when it doesn't work with the iPhone 4S it keeps working on the 3GS (5.1.1) and the iPad2 (6.1.2), so I suspect it might be the docking port on the iPhone 4S

I tried opening the iPhone and disconnecting and reconnecting the dock connector flex cable and today it worked fine without any issue; next time it stops working I'll hot swap the dock connector with a new one I got from ebay to see if that affects

Glad you got that sorted.

The next time I plugged my phone in, it just worked. And never had a problem since.
Seems strange that it wouldn't work the first time though.

I have upgraded to a 5S now, and although it works, sometimes when I plug it in or even halfway through a journey, a message comes up saying: 'this accessory may not be compatible'
The music keeps on playing fine, but the phone stops charging once this message has appeared until I unplug the cable and plug it back in again.

I haven't solved the problem yet

I tried changing the dock connector on the phone but nothing changes
