Hey guys,
I've been experiencing difficulty with Blue & Me for the last while. When I got the 500 in June, it was working perfectly. Now however, it only -sometimes- plays music off the USB, and when it does, it plays each song twice (not on repeat or shuffle), nor are there doubles of the files on the memory stick. On top of this, half of the time, the buttons on my steering wheel won't work to change song. Also, it automatically returns to the first song everytime.
It also plays for a second or two when the car turns on, then it stops and about two minutes later it recognizes it again and starts playing.
Not to mention using the iPhone 3G with it. I get a lovely buzzing noise everytime I try to ring someone. The voice control doesn't seem to work anymore for calling contacts, worked perfectly at first and now won't recognize a thing. I won't even go into SMS's not working.
Anyway, I've cleared a memory stick, formatted it to FAT 32, downloaded the 5.5 update, transferred it to the memory stick, out of the folder in the main directory and tried updating. No go. I've tried 3 different sticks at this stage, all with nothing happening. I've followed everything to a T in the instructions and am getting nowhere. I've jigged the battery and still nothing.
Aside from heading to the dealer, have you guys got any ideas? I'm just getting really frustrated with it now! (As you can probably tell!
