  got the info but i am useless with a pc how do you download it and onto what a memory stick????

Hi Geoff

I don't know what problems he was having with resume, but normally (as mine does) the system will always start playing exactly from where left off when engine/stereo/mute button switched off/on. So no shortcomings there. I think his resume feature is kaput, but by the sound of it, so is his whole B & M system!

Mine definately does this as well. Normally it scares the sh*t out of me when i get back in because i will have been listening to rock music really loud and just turned the car off, lol.

What you need to do is get a totally empty memory stick first of all. Then you need to download the SMS Message Reader and extract the files. The 2 files that you need are install.inf and SMS_Reader.ARM920.CAB. You need to copy and paste these onto your blank memory stick then just stick it in the car with the ignition at MAR or whatever it is (the first turn). It will do the rest itself and tell you when its done.

If you want anything else answering or you want it more in depth then just ask mate.

silly question but do you have to have the glove box open when you have a memory stick inserted into the USB Port or is there enough room to be able to close it?

I could close the glovebox on mine but was very tight and the memory stick was rattling around a bit, so I just bought a short extention cable.

BigaAde - when you say "No resume" do you mean that the system doesn't pick up from the part of the track it was playing when last switched off? if so that seems to be a pretty serious shortcoming. Can you confirm what you mean by that?
Geoff

Exactly, it does not pick up from where it left off. Sounds like it works for others though. I have some other memory devices, will play when I get a chance.....

The point about taking time to read the usb memory: When I start the car, hit the B&M button and say 'Folders' I get a response from it saying please wait while the system builds the media library (even if I haven't changed/removed the usb memory). I actually timed it the other day, was aboud 1min 15. Sure if you have 'Autoplay' on it will play immediately but you have no choice as it randomly picks a track, not for me prefer choosing.

There is definately something wrong with yours mate, i have not had that come up once, its always ready instantly, even when i have just put new tracks on it. Also mine picks up from where it left off even if its over night, etc.
