Hello, Im from Denmark and I ahvent seen anyone on the streets here with a Barchetta but me :)

My question is; Do the rollbar offer any real safety?
And can anyone recomend a good product, with easy to install? Must be availibity for a guy like me in COLD Denmark....

the answer about the safety on rollbars is no,it offers no protection since it is not calculated in the designing of the car...
rollbars however add to the looks of the car and i recomend them 100%

heres fotos of mine

Hi, Did you fit the rollbars yourself? Was it straight forward and are they universally fitting for all models? I quite fancy them for my 2004 'b'.

well mine also is a 2004 barchetta.....

there are several types of roll bars but the main difference between them in installing are 2.
those that install with bolts from under the roll bars(like mine)the more difficult way of course since you need to remove several parts to get there
and those that are installed from the top with the bolts going downwards...

a good place to get them are from here : http://www.speurders.nl/show_other....ck_voorvertoning=on&check_details=on&limit=40

he is from holland and i ve got many parts from him, including my hardtop very good and fast delivery very reliable..tell him dimitris from athens greece sent you to him!!

his email is [email protected] and his name is henk

about the instalation i went to a specialist it took him about 2.5 to 3 hours to make it happen...

the results are great!!it look very good!!!!!

wish you luck and i hope i was helpfull

My rollbars are the type that have the bolts that go through the top and fasten underneath. Fitting was quite easy, moved the two seats forward and removed the rubber panel at the back and unbolted the metal panel after unbolting part of the seatbelts. Once the metal panel is off you will see your fueltank and fortunately there are two holes already there below the place where you are going to place the rollbars. Also, there are two larger holes conveniently placed in order to gain access to these two holes, I made up two captive nuts by welding a large washer to a nut and bolted the rollbar in place using a stainless steel bolt, took me about an hour and looks quite good:)

the way i done mine is to get an avdel gun and put in avdel nutserts then you dont have to strip anything of car i got my rollbars of ebay from germany s/steel not chrome about £100 inc postage look good but just sit below height of headrest depends on angle of front seat ill try and find name of ebayers shop and post

Thanks Ricky. If you have this all fitted then I'll catch a squint in May. Looking forward to it.
