The warning light for seat pre- tensioner is on constantly. I’ve checked all fuses etc so I’m guessing I need to replace the relays under the seats.

I used to have links to very comprehensive Barchetta service manuals but the links don’t seem to be active now sadly.

Can anyone tell me the part nos of the seat pre-tensioner relays please?
Also if anyone has pointers to good parts suppliers that would be great
Car is a late model (3 brake lights at rear) 54 plate(2004)
TIA

I think you are ahead of the problem.

The Barchetta underneath seat connectors are renown for causing errors.

What you need to do is:

1) Disconnect the battery for 15 to 20 mins

2) Disconnect both the driver's and passenger's connectors under the seats and check for damage, broke wires or contact corrosion

3) Clean and electrically lubricate the male and female connectors. Best to use "electrical contact and lubrication" products but WD40 is a viable alternative

4) You will now need to get the error reset as as far as I can recally the error/warning light may not self reset after *multiple* ignition on/off cycles.

Also a point to note that one Early / Late model 'B's then the airbag system requires a KKL interface. ELM based interfaces will not be able to reset the Air Bag System errors.

Thanks s130
I will have to wait till I get back to France to follow your instructions.

If I recall there’s a spare parts place in Germany which will probs be cheaper to source parts from now - given U.K. sourced products are now subject to import duty into EU

Hi, i don’t know the German source you say but Henk at Barchettaparts.com is a reliable source for Barchetta parts. i don’t have any affiliation to him just used him for parts without any problems.
