Haven't seen any with 18".. If you go with 18" you should go with 205/30/18" = €€€€ :)

Hiya, I considered 18's but dont think it has been done so far and glad i never.

I have 17's on mine with 215/40/17 tyres. I also have the bilstien suspension and the handling/cornering is great. The feel/ ride is ok on a straight road and bumps are manageble. I must point out though, if i hit a pot hole, its feels like the wheel has no tyre on and as i found out a couple weeks back it also bent the rim. :( in doing so. When i next change my tyres i will be going for a 215/45/17 which should compensate slightly for the pot hole scenario.

The only way to run 18's would be on a 30 profile tyre. It would look great but I as others would be very concerned about the feel of the ride. To harsh for the B set up.

Hope this helps. (y)

18" alloys would go on a B with a few small mods but only if it's going to spend its life on a race track and not the open road.
Think it would look cool but you would also need to buy a large front brake calliper kit to fill the large space inside the 18" alloy.

KC, did you need any spacers to fit 215s? I'm thinking of getting 215/45/16s as my current summer tyres are quite worn doen.

Hiya! Robot,

No i diddnt, they fitted fine, my rims are 17x7's .

I believe Lima has 225/40/17 on his blue B and that looks great.

I have since added 20mm spacers just to widen the track and look cosmeticly better.

Cheers - I might just have to consider getting some 215s then :) I'll have a look-see to see how much dearer than 205s they are.

 on anything other than smooth motorway...(n)

Fof those mere mortals among us who travel back roads and byways..the B is best anyway on a summer backroad with the roof down on a lazy hazy day..its not really an autostrada beast..

urgh, cant say i like them BBS :yuck: .. but it is a personal issue.. gustibus & coloribus non dispatum est...

once spring *really* sets in (around easter) i'll go for MAK Volare Mirror (16 or 17), good value for good looks ;)

what is legal difference? 3%?
195/55-15 to 205/50-16 is about 2.7%

dont think there is a legal issue.. however, it is more a practial issue

-- if you actually drive 3% faster as indicated on the tach, it might cost you money. If however, you drive 3% slower as indicated on the tach you are only a nuisance for those behind you :) hence a 205/45/16 is much better match as a 205/50/16
