Hi, I have had a look at various threads but would still like some advice please. I require a new soft top in mohair. Is the one available on ebay from "eurotop.de" any good or should I purchase one from Car Hood Warehouse, Car Hoods Northern or one of the other companies. I can have it fitted for £120.00 which seems a very good price. Anybody bought a good one please and if so from where. The car is a 2000 yellow Barchetta Italian import (can't read the manual)

Pete a replacement hood has been covered to death with many recomendations. You can buy from as little as £195 from Germany and no one has yet stated that the quality has been poor. I recommend where I got mine from highly but don't seem to trade on ebay currently, so you will just have to do the ground work and pick from other's experiences.

One thing to be carefull of is that some say that their mohair hood is original. Fiat never made a mohair hood so they are talking rubbish and manufacture those hoods themselves as do all the other companies selling. Not saying that the quality will be bad but they are lying.

I got a manual from ebay was about £10-£15 if I remember correctly. If you see anyone breaking a Barchetta on ebay or anywhere else give them a call re the manual as they often forget about them or don't consider that they are a saleable item.

You can buy a brand new manual in english from your local Fiat dealer for about £10!

If anyone wants the PDF version of the manual send me a PM. I have it hosted on my website but I only get a certain amount of free bandwidth a month so I just need to be careful that 10 people don't try and download it at once, hence the PM rather than just publishing the URL on the forum.

The manual's about 800MB so you'll definitely need a decent broadband connection to download it.

I take it it's the workshop manual you mean jiggy as opposed to the owner's manual that pronaturebot means?

Got my hood for just under £200 from Germany I think.

I think I would be needing new hood in the near future too.. Stock pvc hood is driving me crazy..

What would be best(cheapest) place to get new mohar hood? I have checked couple places put they don't ship international..

As said earlier in the thread there are so many choices and recommendations have a look through them and ebay and take your pick on what you feel is the best rated.

Recently got mine from BAS (they also fit) a wee bit cheaper than carhoods direct, and they make them! not just importers, so any probs you have a better chance of some comeback(imho)

But I did have a VERY competitive quote from DTR in London for supply and fit, just a bit far for me to travel,
