Dear All,
I m soon planning to change my shock absorbers as they are near death (factory fitted original) :)
So far I have been suggested the Koni sport (yellow) and Bilstein B6.
The thing is that the roads I use everyday would need a rather soft setup instead of a dead hard sport one.
I would love to install the koni sport kit with the matched springs that lower the car about 3cm but then I m afraid I ll be scratching the car underneath quite a lot and probably end up collecting screws after every ride. Speed bumps here in Greece are about 15-20cm(!!!) high in the middle so lowering the car (no matter how much I would love to do so) is probably not preferred.
So, the reason for this post is to give you people with non original suspension a chance to tell me what you have and how it feels. I would love to have a damping feeling of a new executive car but i know that is out of the question.
Many thanks in advance and sorry I have been away for a while.
Best Regards to all!

Of course, you could always be a guinea pig for the rest of us and fit a full hydraulic set-up:D
Maybe get some "boyz from the hood" from the US of A to come over with their lowriders and get them to do it for you:D :D

I'm thinking of going for the Bilstein. My Barchetta already grounds when leaving a local supermarket!

I'll let you know how I get on, but it could be a few weeks before I order them.

Sounds like you need to get the original type as it was designed for the best of all road types.

Hey Alan ;)
I was going to fit the original shocks but I found out that their price is not far off the KONI sport, so I started wondering if there is a better value for money option. Bilstein do an OEM replacement set which costs 160euros for all 4 shocks which is very very cheap but I dont know how good they will be.

I think I m looking for something that simply does not exist for the B.

Any ideas about those Bilstein OEMs?
