dunno if posted before but definitely interesting

crashed but with lots of bits to fix it would be interesting to do a RHD conversion on given its current state

Judging by the amount of damage to the front right corner and dented screen pillar this will not be an easy repair - I'd want to have the shell checked for alignment on a jig - I'm a little suspicious of the door gap as well...has the gap above the door opened up slightly ?

Well done....I couldn't be bothered to look.

Having said that the £1000 asking price is cheeky when you look at the copy of the post below...still as we always say, it's what someone will pay for it in the end.

I did not have an agreed valuation, the policy just said market value. With my claim, I provided print offs of all the adverts for Panda Country Clubs that I could find on the Internet. Of course, they were all in Italy and when the prices where averaged, it came to £4500. The engineer who inspected the car used to work for Fiat years ago and said he had never seen a Panda in such good condition, so I suggested my estimate of £4500 undervalued the car (a bit cheeky but it worked!). They phoned me today and offered £5000 and asked for £500 for the car. I talked them down to £375 and think I have got a good deal. A local body shop has offered to do all the repairs for £3000 using all new Fiat panels. In addition, I can go and do the stripping down myself to get the price even lower. The fact that the car was lhd and import had no bearing on the valuation because when I told the NFU that I could only get a replacement by going to Italy (I was trying to get them to pay my travelling expenses - cheekily), they said the fact it was an import was no concern of theirs and they would only pay the market value.

The moral of the story is, print off every advert you see for a car like your own and keep them with your car details. I have just been paid £5000 for a car I bought 10 months ago for £2700 on Ebay!

Hmmm, not sure, any chance of a test drive?

Remember this being a beautiful car when it was doing the rounds at the shows. Well kitted out too if it's all still there.

I parked next to this at a show in 2011, it was very tidy. I remember it was on eBay when the previous owner sold it, there were photos of it on a jig if I remember rightly so presumably it is straight and just needs the replacement panels fitting, although the dent in the A pillar and funny door gap could be an issue.

What does everyone reckon this would be worth repaired?

The simple answer is whatever the market is prepared to pay, however being a Cat C write off its value will be somewhat lower than it would otherwise be. Without the results of a jig session proving beyond doubt that the shell is straight (that odd looking door gap and dented pillar still ring alarm bells) I would tend to think that repair costs will outweigh its final value. Also, bear in mind the broken gearbox case where the rear engine mount has snapped off.
As ever, "you pays yer money and takes yer choice".

Folks might disagree here but I really don't think it would be worth any more than another panda that has been involved in an accident. Given the degree of damage I doubt anyone would be trying this hard to save it (at this price to buy it) if it was a normal panda for this country. I think the fact that it is Italian spec and LHD might be the reason someone is going to all this effort to sell it rather than just break it for parts.

As mentioned it was a cat c write off, and that will always affect its value
