Hi, first post so bear with me. Just got a California import with electric pump conversion (not done very I don’t think). Old pump left in place. 2 questions. A blocked off fuel line comes out of bulkhead from sender unit and it dangles nearly onto exhaust manifold. Also a polythene pipe comes out of bulkhead (blocked off ) which was attached to a plastic thing which exited to underneath car. So what are these pipes and plastic thing. Also is there a online workshop manual specific to the 850 Spider. Thanks Tim

Hi Tim

it looks like you've got a series 3 tank and series 2 gauge sender in a USA import, some carburetors have fuel return pipes going back to the fuel tank, if your carb doesnt have one then you are ok to leave them blocked off.

just spotted the choke cable comes out of the same hole as the accelerator through the bulkhead, there is a better hole for it to come through which is a more direct route, the hole is in your photo.

Tim, many thanks for the response, was most useful. Probably not the last question I am likely to post. I’m ok with mechanicals but it’s good to know there’s an experienced Spider owner out there. Cheers Tim
