We have a 500x Cross (16 Plate) with the 5 inch UConnect Live Screen, and I was wondering if there is a way that Android Auto can be shown on the screen. I downloaded the app onto my phone and connected it to the car via usb. However the app said that Android Auto should show on the screen, which it didn't.

Is Android Auto compatible with our car?
Thanks.

Sorry for necroing the thread, but I didn't want to start a new topic. I'm having the same issue and I was hoping for a solution.

UConnect isn't compatible with Android Auto.

Maybe it has changed now? Recently I saw their list of compatible cars and 500X is there.

I know nothing about Android Auto but the website states it's compatible with Fiat 500X 2017 ->

It seems to be available on the US range with Apple CarPlay and there is a new model on the .com page called Mirror that has both.
However there is still no U.K. spec model with them.

Just Bought a Fiat 2018 MY18. It comes with 7" Radio LIVE HD infotainment system. As it statesat the driveconnect site ,the model is compatible with android auto.
The problem is that even though i have tried with 3 different android devices (Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5a) there is no android auto on the car display. Customer service told me that its due to google (play store) and its not supporting Android auto in Greece. Nevertheless i managed to downloaded when i was overseas and the app plays perfect on the phones.
My question is , has anyone managed to enable android auto? Even the costumer service dosen't have the information. I asked them also to point me to a local dealer with extend knowledge on infotainment systems, but still the didin't provide me with such information.
I'm very disappointed (n) on them, because am i a great deal of time on the read and i would like to safely hear my emails, whats-app and viber messages.

Welcome to the forum :)

I have a 2015 model with the 6.5" screen. The two dealers I went to, have no clue whatsoever about the uconnect unit and both told me in clear terms that they don't really care about it, because they have better things to do.

They also don't know how to update the maps. Both told me that FCA in Italy is setting up a special website for the dealers to use, which will offer downloadable map updates, but it requires a credit card payment per map. Both dealers told me they did not really care to deal with the complications of getting a corporate credit card just to update maps, so they are trying to avoid the whole situation.

Just my experience so far :)

My dealer has finally found out how to do it via the website but quoted me £200 for the map update which is a one-off with new maps available next year which will be another £200 ish. I pointed out that for that money I could buy a TomTom with 4 sets of maps per year for 'life'. He just went quiet.
