I'm looking to by a used 500 S 2016 onwards - I need to have Apple CarPlay installed.

Does anyone know if there is anyway I can check the build spec to ensure CarPlay is installed without contacting a main fiat dealer?

Fiat did not install carplay till 2017 on any cars, this is on the carplay website.

If as you say you’re looking to buy a car with carplay then the best way to know is to ask the person or dealer you’re buying it from if it has carplay.

The build spec won’t necessarily tell you either as it’s something that can be added after by software or by changing the radio head unit.

Thank you - I'm somewhat confused as some of the dealers I spoke to said that Carplay was an added cost extra on the late 16/17 cars and would show on the build sheet. Others said it can be added later/others said not!

I bought a car from autotrader advertised with Carplay but when it arrived it didn't have it.

I have access through my work to buy cars at the main auctions and I can't ask them to check the car... this is why i wondered if there is a website where i could get the spec build?

Can I ask if you know of anyone that has successfully added Airplay later with a software update? I would be very interested in having this done
