Hello, after driving around our new TwinAir for a while, have noticed that the range reading on te speedo is all over the place. It’s either static when driving or more often reads a range that changes randomly. For example yesterday I start engine it reads 280 miles, then it drops to 265, 245, 215 over about 10 mins then back up again. What could this be - just a loose wire maybe? It’s under the 6 month warranty from the garage but it it’s a quick fix i would rather learn myself. Thank you!

Sounds normal. As I understand it the calculation of range is based on the approximate amount of fuel left in the tank divided by an average of the the consumption during the last few miles, so the figure will be constantly updated, up or down, depending on the manner in which the car's being driven. Giving it some welly around suburban streets, or sitting idling for long periods, will see it drop while hitting the motorway will cause it to rise.

I wouldn't rely on it too much.
