Background, Twinair Dualogic. New to me non running. personally repair dualogics so know my way around the hydraulic unit..

upon ignition on, the car will give the following dash lights
Steering wheel (red)
Flashing Gearbox (red) also no gear selection showing, ie N is not present
ABS

Key immobiliser

So i have working MES which i use regularly and which communicates with the other 500 i have here, no issue with the software or dongle. however it doesnt communicate with any module, not engine gearbox abs airbag not anything.

Checked all the fuses, rotated the relays, looked at the earths and earth straps on the gearbox, front impact beam and above abs unit.

So my gut instinct is that the Canbus system is not communicating creating all the alarms, or there is multiple power/earth fault.

every item that is on the 'main bus' i.e doesnt need a coloured connector is flagged on the dash, so i think the canbus is faulted. problem is how to fix it,

I need help in getting information on pinout diagrams for the ecu, dualogic ecu, bcm to prove i have volts and earths in the correct spots.

I have checked and repaired the tailgate wiring, not looked into the steering column/ignition switch yet..

These kind of faults drive me potty but, the thrill is in the chase.. need some wiring diagrams.

I have spare BCM, ignition barrel, airbag units etc here so could swap it all over but I reckon it'll be in vain, as its from a 1.2 manual.

Typecastboy - i guess it would need to be specifically for a dualogic, is yours from a dualogic if so I may well be interested

Update.

After much investigation, schmatics galore any 1000miles on my multimeter we have got somewhere.

The Can Bus network was at fault, so no comms could be had. I removed All items from the BCM BSI and managed to talk to it. upon finding a point to point wiring schmatic for the canbus it follows this path.

OBD-BSI-Steering Module-YAW sensor(esp only)-Trans Control Module(Dualogic only)-ABS module-LPG module-ECU ECM.

Green and brown wires througout

I bridged out the Steering Pump CAN wiring and got the dualogic box to re-appear, but did not get the ABS or ECU.

So after testing the wiring I cleaned the ABS ECU contacts and so i then got comms to the ABS and ECU.

so it seems that i have a blown Steering ecu, had bad connection on the ABS module. If you have this problem then i'd start at the ABS unit next time as its quite dirty/hot down there.. bridge it out and see if you get your ecu.

as soon as the ecu was communicating i was able to turn the engine over, but not select gears, this is ony possible if the ABS unit is online, failure to have abs online will show a gearbox fault (flashing gearbox symbol).

My next issue is the engine will not start and shows P1524 spark plug fouling failure or something to that effect.

I think the problems experienced is due to the previous trader jumpstarting it, damaging the electronics.

I have some schematics here if I can find a way to upload them...
