Just thought I would show you my latest Cat D project as it was earlier today. Front panel was the worst I've seen. High impact which pushed it back into the air box cracking that. It also bent and damaged the top Lambda sensor which put a light on the dash. Luckily I had one spare. A quick code clear with MES and good as new.

New radiator too, but condenser albeit a bit bent is still good. 12376B72-CBAD-4CE5-BDD4-31D8C746B539.jpg

Nice pick mate, as always. If you haven't already I would be pressure testing that condenser coil with some nitrogen (ofn) at 15 bar just to be sure.

good stuff.

Cat D ..must've only been "a scrape" ;)

Not quite, but the impact was high so although the front panel was pushed back and damaged the air box and Lambda sensor it missed both reinforcement bars so that saved me a few quid. Also missed all four chassis end rails which is good news.

The nearside wing is a bit out now I've got the new headlights in but I always take them to a body shop for a bit of bonnet lining up titivation so I'll get him to look at that. I had a pull about myself but needs his magic touch. If he can't then I'll find an in colour one on eBay and fit that instead.

You're being optimistic about the condenser being undamaged then?......:D

I've had them bent much worse than that. I've replaced them when they were so bent that I couldn't bolt it onto the radiator. A/C is cold, could be colder but just needs a regass I think. If it needs doing its only about £50 quid. If it was another part I would just change it anyway but if I can get away without getting it degassed I will.
