The wipers on our 2016 lounge are pretty poor - they miss on the left and bottom of the screen. I've tried doing a bit of judicious bending of the blades but to no avail. Anyone else?
Yes absolutely, there are many threads on this. Basically you need to bin the useless Fiat stock wipers and get yourself some Bosch Aerotwins = )The wipers on our 2016 lounge are pretty poor - they miss on the left and bottom of the screen. I've tried doing a bit of judicious bending of the blades but to no avail. Anyone else?
I put Bosch Aero on the front and standard Bosch on the rear, next time you use the rear one see how well it removes the water compared to the fronts, then you'll see the poor performance?Until I read this thread, I wasn't aware that there's a problem.
Our wipers are fine.
As far as I'm aware, they are the ones brand new. The car had only done 13,000 miles when we bought her, and I've not done anything to the wipers at all.
Yes, as far as I'm concerned, they are fine. No complaints whatsoever - front or rear.
I do have one complaint though, the intermittent wipe isn't variable.
Regards to all,
Mick.
Yes, you're basically right, but it doesn't matter because it isn't "poor performance"............ next time you use the rear one see how well it removes the water compared to the fronts, then you'll see the poor performance?
Yesterday, I noticed that one of the wiper rubbers on the front ........ the long one .......... was peeling away a bit at the outer end.
The car has done 25,900miles from new, and this is the very first wiper problem.
When we last had a thread about wipers on here, I bookmarked a page:

One pair of 28" rubber blades will do a complete Fiat500, so I've ordered a pair.
Actually, I ordered two pairs.
Coming 2nd Class Royal Mail, so should be with me by middle of next week.
Stand by for a progress report.
Regards,
Mick.
From what I've looked at, the rubbers are at least as "normal" as I've had almost forever on every car I've ever owned.Lets hope you don't have the "standard" Aero flat type, as the text on your link specifically states they are not compatible
From what I've looked at, the rubbers are at least as "normal" as I've had almost forever on every car I've ever owned.
If the they don't fit, either I'll make them fit, or I'll use them eventually somewhere, and anyway, they will fit on our Clio.
Cheap enough anyway, and I only bought two pairs because the postage was nearly as much as the cost of one of them.

Mick.
I'll let you know how I get on.Aero's and "traditional " wipers look vastly different in terms of blade design and overall make up, let's us know how you get on?
I'll let you know how I get on.
I actually don't know what Aero wipers look like. I'll have a Google!
Mick.
Just taken the O/S long wiper off, and removed one end and extracted the rubber.
Comparing it to a "normal" rubber, they are identical.
These photos are of the arm and extracted rubber, plus a short length of standard rubber to compare.
Hope this helps!
Mick.
